I've always been interested in photography, but previously I had never really ventured
past “point-n-click” snapshots. It's only recently with the advancements in
digital photography, specifically DSLRs, that my interest has been re-kindled.
High-end Digital SLR cameras combine the control and features of traditional 35mm film
cameras, with the convenience and instantaneity of the digital age — a perfect
marriage for the experimental photographer!
My system consists of a Canon DSLR body and Canon lenses. I had never paid much attention to
“glass” before, but I have to admit since owning my first Canon L-Series lens
I have become a bit of an “L-Series” snob.
After the shoot, I process my images on a Power Macintosh G5 using Apple's Aperture
software, with the occasional use of Adobe Photoshop CS2 for advanced effects such as hand colouring.
